The Approach

SLC was looking from the beginning to the quality meat so; they started implementation of HACCP requirements which indeed requires a full map of analysis to cover the whole production procedure accordingly RIIL was their first choice to work hand by hand with SLC to fulfill the requirements of the HACCP through microbiological and chemical testing to their facilities and meat from the beginning of the production till reaching the customer's hand.

The Results

RIIL test report results confirming that SLC follow the HACCP requirements strictly lead SLC earned HACCP certificates after fulfilling its requirements.

SLC started as a leading company in Egypt in importing cattle with its own slaughter house, starting the whole process for slaughtering then distribution its production to the Egyptian market; SLC was looking from the beginning to the quality meat so; they started implementation of HACCP requirements.

Accordingly, they reached RIIL for all testing's needed to implement the HACCP and ensuring the quality of its products till reach the hand of the consumer in the Egyptian market.

With the application of the traceability rules starting from the knife used for slaughtering till the final product reach the consumer in the market; RIIL follow the most stringent quality standards by having site tests accredited by DAkkS for ISO/IEC 17025.2005 for their products and facilities as following:

  1. Carcasses (Microbiology, Pesticides Residues and chemistry) over 40 samples.
  2. Animal feed (Microbiology and chemistry) over 20 samples
  3. Microbiological swabs for Slaughter house facilities and workers (hands and mouth) over 200 samples.
  4. Slaughter house water (Microbiology and trace elements) over 15 samples.
  5. Trucks transporting meat to the market (microbiological swabs) over 20 samples.
  6. Bench products ready to be sold (Microbiology, Pesticides Residues and chemistry) over 20 samples.

Results

Hygienic measurements required for HACCP was strictly implemented according to RIIL recommendations and results of the huge data provided by RIIL; SLC earned certificate of HACCP.
