It is the policy of Royal International Inspection Laboratory (RIIL), to use wide range of its own equipment to perform tests. All equipment and its software used for test must be capable to achieve the accuracy required of relative standards. So RIIL has a specialized department in lab's equipment maintenance consist of highly qualified Maintenance team well trained to be able to fix any problem occur for lab's equipment.

• Record, identifications and calibration

  Each item of equipment and/or software in the lab should have a special record and labeled to distinguish from other, similar pieces of equipment. If available; dates, results and copies of reports and certificates of all calibrations and/or adjustments, acceptance criteria, and due date of next calibration; maintenance carried out to date and the maintenance plan; damage, malfunction, modification or repair to the equipment.

• Out of Service

  If technical manager in his daily quality assurance found out that such equipment has either been subjected to overloading or mishandling, or gives suspect results, or has been shown to be defective or outside specified limits, must be taken out of service, clearly labeled, inform the Laboratory Director of the situation to take the necessary steps of repairing the equipment and calibrated it. The previous test must be check and action must be taking to control the non-conforming work.

• Calibration Status

  All equipment under the control of the laboratory and requiring calibration must be labeled, coded or otherwise identified to indicate the status of calibration and the date when recalibration is due.
  - All calibration certificates is traceable to NIST.
